Our Holistic Approach
Building New skills, from head to toe

At Baby and Beyond Therapy, we take a holistic, family-centered approach to occupational therapy. We never look at one system in isolation, because feeding is a whole-body skill that requires whole-body support.

Our team uses play and sensory-rich experiences to support children on their developmental journeys. We'll also work closely with your family and other healthcare professionals along the way to ensure that your child gets the best support, both during therapy sessions and at home.

Our Evaluation Process

Getting to the Root of Your child's challenges

Our evaluations are designed to look beyond your child's symptoms to uncover the underlying factors that may be affecting their feeding and development.

We'll begin with a parent interview to learn more about your child's birth history, development, and your concerns. Then, we will carefully observe and assess your child using a whole-body approach. This may include a functional oral assessment, structural assessment, muscle tone, range of motion, sensory processing, and developmental assessment. This process allows us to create meaningful therapy goals to address your concerns and help your child thrive.

Bodywork for Infants and Children in Orange County, CA

Manual Therapy & Bodywork

Craniosacral Therapy

Is your baby fussy or hard to soothe? Craniosacral Therapy (CST) uses gentle, light-touch techniques to help balance their nervous system and release tension. Our calm and nurturing sessions will allow your baby to rest, play, or sit in your lap while we help them:

  • Feel more comfortable in their body

  • Rest and sleep soundly

  • Breast or bottle feed effectively

  • Eliminate colic, spitting up, reflux, and uncomfortable digestive symptoms

  • Improve mobility, sensory processing, and vision

Myofascial Release

Does your baby favor one side, struggle with feeding, or seem stiff in their movements? Myofascial Release (MFR) uses gentle, hands-on techniques to release tightness in their muscles and fascia, improving comfort and body alignment. At Baby and Beyond Therapy, we use myofascial release to help babies and children:

  • Improve feeding, digestion, and sleep

  • Move freely and comfortably during tummy time, play, feedings, and daily routines

  • Develop good posture and balance

  • Meet developmental milestones

Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) combines Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release to gently unwind tension throughout your baby's body. By releasing fascial strain, we help your child’s body move and function more freely so they can:

  • Feed, breathe, and move with ease

  • Feel calmer throughout the day

  • Sleep more comfortably

  • Build a healthy foundation for optimal brain and body development

Infant Massage

Infant massage is a simple way to calm your baby and strengthen your bond? At Baby and Beyond Therapy, we use gentle, rhythmic touch to support your baby’s sensory, neurological, and emotional development. We'll guide you through soothing techniques to help your baby:

  • Relax, sleep better, and feel more settled

  • Improve feeding, weight gain, and digestion

  • Enhance muscle tone, bone density, and growth

Tummy Time Method

Tummy time is important for babies, but we know it's not always enjoyable. If your baby cries and resists tummy time or struggles to lift their head, we will target the parasympathetic nervous system to make tummy time more enjoyable and provide caregiver support. Together we will help them:

  • Lift their head, roll, grab, sit up, and crawl

  • Improve head shape and head positioning

  • Breast or bottle feed more effectively

  • Breathe quietly through their nose

  • Sleep soundly

  • Improve strength, posture, and body alignment
